For Veterans
A partnership has been formed between NAMI and the Veterans Administration to bring the Family to Family program to Veterans and their families across the country.

In addition to the pressures of readjusting to civilian life after war, America’s Veterans face the same statistical potential of mental health issues as does the rest of the population.
Combined with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and the stigma which accompanies it bring a greater risk of suicide.
Family members are left with little to no support system to help them understand and cope with their loved one’s illness.

NAMI Colorado has stepped in to help by conducting free Family to Family classes at the Denver VA and in Grand Junction.
